All of our team are state registered physiotherapists with extensive hands on experience. Our physiotherapists have vast knowledge of the treatment and rehabilitation of a wide variety of spinal, muscular and joint problems having worked at the highest level of professional sport.

Mark Browes

Mark BrowesMark Browes played professional football for Colchester United when he left school but then joined the RAF. Initially as a Physical Training Instructor and then becoming a Remedial Therapist, working at the Defence Services Rehabilitation Unit RAF Headley Court for 5 years. After completing a degree in Physiotherapy at Brunel University, Mark became the Head Physiotherapist at the Queens Park Rangers Football Academy. Two years later he was head-hunted to become a first team Physiotherapist with Liverpool Football Club. Mark stayed with the club for 7 seasons working as the Head Physiotherapist during his last season.

Penny Brown

Penny qualified in 1984 and since then has gained extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports injury physiotherapy having worked in the NHS, Sports Injuries Clinics and Private Hospitals in Birmingham, London and overseas. She has also been the Physiotherapist for International hockey teams in the All African Games.

She has been working as an Extended Scope Physiotherapy Practitioner in Chester since 1997 with Mr. Ian Harvey and more recently also with Mr. Mark Webb, Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgeons and is part of the CHESS (Chester Hand, Elbow and Shoulder Service) team.Penny has specialist musculoskeletal and sports injury experience gathered through both post-graduate training and clinical practice. She has been involved in treating people from sedentary lifestyles to those in sports at all levels both in the UK and abroad. She has worked with National, International and County hockey teams as well as other professional elite athletes from canoeing, tennis, rowing, athletics, cricket and rugby.

She has also extensive experience in joint and soft tissue injections with diplomas in Orthopedic Medicine and Injection Therapy. Her additional skills include muscle balance techniques for postural and sports injury problems as well as treating all musculoskeletal disorders.

 

Michael Corran

Michael Corran MCsp. Is a chartered physiotherapist and qualified sports scientist. A keen golfer with single figure handicap, Michael has turned his attentions to golf specific physiotherapy. He is a senior member of the muscular-skeletal team at Royal Liverpool University Hospital trust and has undertaken PGA certified courses focusing on golf swing analysis, golf specific rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Combining this with his vast experience of competitive golf, Michael is in an ideal position to help you back to your golfing best.
